Pine Grove Farms has been using draft horses for hay and sleigh rides since it was established in 1968. 

Our first Belgian horses, a yearling and a 2 year old,  were purchased in 1972 at the Columbus, Ohio sale.

In 1975, 3 Jay du Marais daughters and the son of Constable, Nadans' Charlie were acquired and our breeding program began.  In 1975, a Jan Farceur mare was purchased.  We enjoyed raising colts and showing our own stock until 1987.

About this time we began showing geldings and in the early 90's started showing a four horse hitch and soon thereafter moved on to a six horse hitch.  We attended the NABC in 1996 in Brandon, Mb.

At the NABC IV in Columbus in 2000 we had Reserve Grand Champion Gelding and placed in the top ten every day with the six horse hitch.  The Reserve Grand Champion Gelding, Dick,  went on to become the All American Gelding for 2000.
